Hi! I’m Luca, owner and instructor here at Straight Up Adventures. I hope to bring some of my excitement for climbing and mountaineering to you through the various courses we offer here.

Some outdoor course or activity providers aren’t active climbers and just do it for work - this isn’t me! I’m an avid climber who is out scrambling up something given any opportunity! This is what makes us unique - you’re guaranteed a passionate instructor who really understands the local area and will show you an unforgettable day out, whether that be scrambling, hiking, winter mountaineering, or sunny rock climbing.

Myself and the staff I employ for guiding and instruction hold high level awards relating to climbing and mountaineering so you can be sure that you are in safe hands. I personally hold the Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor certificate, the highest award provided by Mountain Training, to instruct and guide all elements of summer and winter climbing, scrambling, mountaineering and hillwalking in the UK. We are members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and Mountain Training Association . We are fully insured for all the activities provided.
